When I first saw
this book I thought "Oh not another book on Fibre Optics"
but even though the second chapter goes a little too deep into the
theory and mathematics for my liking, the historical background
in the preceding Chapter more than made up for it!! I also liked
the chapters describing the various types of fibre and future developments
forseen for this technology. The only thing that (slightly) annoyed
me was the misspelling of fibre - but then the book might have been
aimed at the American Market?
