Herne are experienced in the research and develoment of technical manuals, specifications and research reports.

Many small companies (and some larger ones) cannot justify the employment of full time technical author to write manuals for their products. At Herne we are experienced in writing such items as User Manuals for technical equipment, training manuals, user guides for software packages and much more. Using plain English and keeping the jargon to a minimum we focus on keeping the information simple but accurage.

Herne also undertake research projects for organisations sometimes providing technical reports on existing equipment and frequently researching new technologies, again using a plain english approach to writing.

Tender Submissions

Today more and more business is won through the tendering process. This process can be long and detailed, with many stages of pre-qualification forms and complex documentation. Herne have experience in supporting businesses to complete all stages of the tendering process and offer this services on a consultancy basis.

Copy Editing and Proof Reading

As you would expect from a quality orientated company, Herne provide high quality documentation. To this end we have developed an in-house procedure for copy-editing and proof reading to provide an efficient and thorough serivce to our clients. Our experts are also able to combine copy-editing and proof reading with factual checks; for example we have recently been involved in checking new system technical specifications for a client against the generic standards from which they were derived.
