Team Building is not a jolly! 

Okay they are supposed to fun and enjoyable, but lets be clear they MUST be business focused with specific objectives and tangilble outcomes - or they will be accused of being a waste of money!

At their best team builds, or corporate awaydays call them what you will, are constructive, focused and highly energising day/s when every member of a team gets an opportunity to contribute in a significant way.

It may be that a department needs a new directions or drive; that the organisation needs to relook at its vision or business plan; or that the team needs to find a common purpose. 

Whatever the specific objectives, bringing the team together to contribute in this way is highly effective and leads to long lasting results.

Developing a Team Build event is much more than putting together a selection of energising exercises.  You need a clear understanding of the organisation, its challenges, the desired outcomes and then find engaging ways to bring those objectives to life, to find inspiring ways of ensuring contribution from everyone and creating a logical and seamless plan for the day, not to mention finding an appropriate venue.  Done right there it inspiring and motivating for all involved.
